Break in at Mounties Bowling Club: Offender Apprehended

Mounties Group confirms that yesterday morning, Thursday, 7 June 2018, there was a break-in at the Mounties Bowling Club, located on the corner of Ulverstone and Lawson Streets, in Fairfield.

The offender made a failed attempt to take Club property. Since the Bowling Club is under alarm and surveillance, the CCTV operator notified Fairfield Police who attended the incident immediately.

The offender was apprehended by Fairfield Police whilst still on the premises.

Minor damage to the Club was sustained, however, it has been operating as normal.

Kevin Ingram, Mounties Group President, said, “The safety of our members, guests, staff and facilities is of paramount importance to Mounties Group, which is why we ensure our surveillance systems are in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We would like to thank Fairfield Police for their assistance in this matter. It is business as usual at Mounties Bowling Club and we anticipate minimal disruption to the services on site.”
